11-24-17 (Friday) HY: P90X3 - Cold Start + T25 - Alpha: Cardio + TCF.
Started off my day with a shake and a morning workout. I knew I wouldn't have time after work to do anything, so it had to be a morning session. But I didn't have a lot of time, so I decided to do T25. I actually wanted to do the routine that has a few stretch intervals embedded into the routine. And I thought that it was Cardio that did that. But once it started, I realized that it wasn't. The one I wanted to do was Speed 1.0. But I couldn't stop what I started to I just kept going. I was happy to get all the way through without a break. There were a few times that I was tempted to stop, but I had made it almost to the end of that particular move, so I just kept on going. Usually my arches give me problems, but today, it wasn't my arches, rather, my calves. The first progression always gets me with the Jacks. My lower calves were feeling it bad. It was good that I could get through most of each move because despite the pain, I could stick it out for just another 5 seconds. That is why I like the predictable workouts with the time bar. I know exactly where I am all the time.
But before doing this, I knew I'd need a good stretch, so I went with my favorite stand alone warm up, Cold Start. If I didn't do Cold Start, I am pretty sure I wouldn't have been able to take the calf pain than came with the more intense end of each progression. The agility progression before the final burnout was brutal, but I'm glad I was able to gut it out. I ended the session with a Flow series.
In the end, I burned over 550kcal. A good total for a short routine. Glad to be done and easing into the weekend. Happy Weekend, everyone!
