11-13-17 (Monday) HY: Pickle-Ball + TCF.

11-13-17 (Monday) HY: Pickle-Ball + TCF.

Today was my "as scheduled" Pickle-Ball day.

Today, we were able to get started a little early, so we played a total of 4 games.  No suspense, I was able to sweep all four games.  The first game was pretty competitive.  We were trading serve quite a bit and both were hitting good shots.  But I was able to get a good lead and keep it all the way through to the end of the game. 15-8.  The second game, for the first half of the game, everything I did in the first game was not working.  I was over-hitting, missing lines, netting easy returns, etc.  I fell behind 2-13.  Then suddenly, everything just started to click and I went on a run to 6, then 10, then 13.  I lost serve at those breaks.  Then I closed it out.  It was really weird how things switched around.  I just couldn't get anything going, then BAM Run Run Run. 15-13.  I carried that run on into the next game and took a 14-0 lead.  Eventually took the game 15-2.  I just couldn't close out that game to get the bagel.  I really wanted to, but a few good shots on John's part, a few changes in serve and he snagged two points.  I kept it going in the fourth game also until I hit 13-2.  Then I just stalled.  I couldn't get it going.  A lot of serve changes, some amazing shots, and a lot of hustle and a blowout started to get interesting.  I, on the other hand was getting nervous.  But, the come back stalled and I finally closed the game out, 15-8.  I was feeling really good today.  It seems like both our repertoire of shots has grown and we are getting more and more creative with shot selection and more daring with angles and going for the lines.  It is really getting competitive.  But sometimes, like today, one of us is just on and things happen.

When I got home, my Flow was waiting completion.

In the end, I don't know how many calories I burned because of the dead transceiver.  But I would guess that it was as usual, just over 1000kcals.  It could be a little less, because the gym was pretty cool, and I didn't sweat as much as I normally would have.  Great fun today!
