5-21-15 HY: P90X3-X3 Yoga + Splits + Weight Machine + TCF.
Really weird line up today. Planned to workout at the gym with a friend so I went early and did X3 Yoga and Splits to loosen up. Still have balance issues, especially on my right leg. Warrior 3, half moon, twisted half moon and toe bind, I was falling out of them a lot on my right leg. But on my left leg I was pretty stable, only falling out a couple times. I think P90X2 is in order for the next round of my hybrid. A lot of balance work there.
I tried to push as hard and low as possible, but it was difficult because of the sticky floor, but I was able to get down and cause myself some pain.
No break, I started with the weight machine. When my friend came, I was already about half way through the stations. All the stations really give me a great pump except for the preacher curl station and the chest fly station. Just the placement of the hinge mechanism doesn't allow for a good range of motion. I've tried different positions and bench heights but the bar is just too close to the body to work the chest, it works shoulders way more. But today, I did a lot of pull ups and chin ups in different variations. A lot like Tony does on The Challenge in P90X3. Got a great pump and burn. I didn't go to my weight limit. Instead, I took it down a bit and when with high reps.
Today is the first time for me to do the Flow in an open area with my adjusted stance and it made a big difference. Almost twice as long to make it across the court. I guess I was really overstepping on my front stance. I will have to keep an eye on that so I don't fall into that habit again.
In the end, I torched a good 700+kcals.
