Today was not a normal Sunday. I had some contract work today that melted my brain because of the lack of pre-frontal cortex activity. Yes, it was that time of year again when English testing is the thing to do. Luckily, this year, my morning session was actually pretty good, comparatively speaking. But the afternoon session was mind-numbing. So when I got home, close to 6 pm, I took a nap for about 30 minutes. Then I got to my workout. I was debating on whether or not to start the week off with upper or lower body, but I decided that since I'm playing tennis tomorrow, I should do Upper so my legs don't die on the court.
The workout was pretty much the same as last time, but there were a few big differences. First, move #2. Standard Pull-Ups. Today, I was able to do all 10 reps in a row. Last time I had to tap out at 8 reps. I was pretty happy about that. But for pull-ups, that is pretty much it for any changes. From there on, everything is the same. The next change doesn't come until move #12. Lateral/ Anterior Raise. I went up 1.25kgs from 5kgs to 6.25kgs. I thought it might be too much, but I barely hit failure by the final rep. Move #13. I felt strong enough to do the Clap this time. Last time, I was blown and there was no chance of me doing the clap. Nailed it today! Move #16. Pterodactyl Flys. I went up to 6.25kgs on these too. I was afraid of the left shoulder pain on the lowering half of the move, but there was absolutely ZERO pain, not even a slight tweak! YESSSS!!! Move #16. Rocket Launcher Kickbacks. I went up to 8.75kgs from 7.5kgs. By the third rep, my form was JUNK. The weights were too heavy. I'll have to go back to 7.5kgs next time. I felt the pump really coming on from move #7 and on. Awesome Pump and Burn today.
I moved right into Abs, and it blasted me. I forget the names of the moves, but those last few moves between the Abernom and the last bicycle, I could not finish. I had to tap out several times. Especially that combo move with the Banana to boat with 4 Mason Twists. I tapped out like 4 times on that one move alone. KILLER MOVE!!! But I got that burn that burns so good!
Splits and Flow were good to go. Hamstrings are loosening a little faster than before so I am pretty happy about that. Progress is slow but coming.
In the end, I torched a surprising 1039kcals. I was expecting around 700kcals because it was an upper body workout, so over a grand was good news. It is a new month, so below is my calendar for June. The usual explanation except for one mistake on color. June 4 should be Green. I accidentally forgot to log it until it was too late.
