7-05-17 (Wednesday) P90X2 - Recovery & Mobility.
Mid-week recovery is a blessing!
I was expecting to be really sore in my legs because of yesterday's lower body focus. I was a bit tight, but not as painful as I thought I'd be. But I had a little extra time so I went with the longer foam rolling extravaganza! This time I didn't actually double the lower body roll, I 1.5ed it. Basically, I used the time of the first two parts, Lower Leg and Upper Leg on only the Calf. Then, I used the time from the first part on the Upper Leg. The rest was the same. My right calf always has a lot of hot spots. That is the reason why I usually do more rolling on my calf. Today, for the first time, I was able to get up on my triceps. Usually, they are so hot that I lie down and rest them on the roller. Today, I actually got some elevation on my upper body. I was happy that I am getting more and more used to the roller on my triceps. I felt really loose afterward and I'm glad for the recovery.
In the end, I burned off a nice little 212kcals. Great way to complete my workout.
