7-18-17 (Tuesday) HY: Tennis + Unlock your Hip Flexors.

ANOTHER TENNIS DAY!!!

Well, this is unprecedented, to say the least.  Usually (every time before this), when I play tennis with my wife one day, or when she plays in her club, the next day she is pretty much out of commission.  Virtually unable to move.  Not only the next day, but for the next few days.  My wife and I played last night so I was already preparing for my regular resistance day today.  I was going to do either Eccentric Upper, or The Challenge.  But when I got home, my wife said, "Can we play tonight?" So I answered in the affirmative.  I'm not going to pass up a chance to play tennis, that's for sure.  So that is going to affect my schedule.

Today at the court, it seemed to be a lot more humid than last night.  The air seemed to be a lot heavier.  Last night, I just didn't feel into the game.  Everything felt forced and I just felt really heavy and my movement was extremely sluggish.  But tonight, I was feeling much lighter and I felt like I was able to be a lot more agile.  My footwork also felt a lot better.  I rotated between three of my four rackets to get a feel for them.  I'm going to have to make some adjustments with the older rackets because of the strings have loosened with play, but that is expected.  But overall, tonight was a much better session for me.  It would have been perfect except for a spell of rain that interrupted our play.  It only lasted about 5-7 minutes, but it was about 20 minutes before the end of the session so we weren't able to play a game.  So we just kept rallying.  There were a few more longer rallies as well.  It was a good evening.

When I got home, I did more stretching.  I'm still feeling that soreness in my hip flexors so I took some good time to stretch them out.

In the end, I torched a good 750+kcals.  Looking forward to a different schedule for tomorrow.
