Wk 8, D2. AM Tennis. PM T25-Beta: Upper Focus + Tai Cheng: Neural Reboot P3 + Sheathing Sword/Diagonal Punch Kick with Check & Punch Combo.
I wanted to do my workout in the morning but the cable guy was coming to do some work so I couldn't. Tennis was first today. Started off a bit slow, then picked up steam, the rocketed to space. I'm trying to be a little more aggressive with my game so I am trying to press my opponent and come into net more. That was my strategy today. I got burned a few times, but I also put a lot of balls away. Needs some work. Final score 6-2, 6-3, 6-0, 5-0. Just didn't have enough time to finish the game. The final game was 40-15 when we were made to leave the court.
As is my usual thing, I went to the weight room and knock off three sets of pull ups, 12-6-5. I wanted to go for 30 total, but I was thinking about today's T25.
When I got home after work, I went straight into T25. I was feeling a little sore from the pull ups, but I made it all the way through to the Bicep curl progression without a break. I was very winded then, and so I took a short break every few moves to catch my breath.
NR3 is really helping, but because of the tennis, I think, my arches started cramping and my shins started cramping on the side stretches, Kosak, and the slow knee bends, I had to come out of it to prevent a full on cramp episode. That usually doesn't happen so I'm attributing it to the morning tennis.
The combo was again really tough. Foot repositioning and lots of balance moves. Not as tough as yesterday, but really needed to pay attention to a lot of things. FOCUS! I had to do the routine twice before really getting it to a place where I was comfortable. Then I did sequence ONE & TWO twice just for review. Went really well on the right side, but had a brain fart on the left. I just stood there in one stance trying to remember the next move. Finally after several moments, it came, but that was weird. I'm happy I remembered it none the less.
Burned over 1700kcals today. Love that big calorie burn! Welcome to the week :-)
Welcome to the new direction for this blog. In it, I will post my experiences and thoughts related to the sport of Pickleball and my efforts to grow Pickleball in the Prefecture of Kagoshima located in the southernmost tip of mainland Japan. I hope to post pictures and videos of the activities and events that are held in Kagoshima. And one day, hopefully, you will come and play some Pickleball with us! Please comment if you visit!
